Our ambassadors are pretty spectacular people. Each is unique in that they’ve got their own story to tell. But we’re all joined by the bonds of loving nature. We all seek the calm and peace that wilderness brings, and we’re all dedicated to preserving remote places. No two Nature Bound Co ambassadors are the same, so read about each one below. Hopefully, you’ll meet them on the trail sometime.
Moses Landon Berdy
My name is Moses Berdy. I was born and raised in South Florida. I am currently living in Chattanooga, Tennessee, although i definitely dont plan to set down roots here. Next stop: Colorado, then Oregon and the PNW!
Traveling, road tripping, camping, and hiking, are by far my favorite past times. If there’s a scenic route, I’m probably on it, and I’m also probably irritating all the people in the car who just wanna go eat because im pulled over taking pictures.
I’ve always loved the outdoors, and moved to TN to explore and climb mountains, figuratively and literally. The last few years have been full of tribulation for me, but mountains can be sanctuaries, as I’ve learned, and i just want to inspire people to see the world in the same light.
I’m originally from Miami, FL but have been visiting WNC every summer with my family since 1996. We would hike DuPont, Gorges, Pisgah, and more countless times before driving back down to Southern Florida.
In 2005, we moved to Asheville, NC and I knew that I was home. In 2011, I went to NC State out in Raleigh but always found the mountains calling me home so, in 2015, I moved back. Since then, I’ve been juggling nursing school and exploring the vast beauty that surrounds us with my dog, Dash.
He recently and suddenly went blind so, instead of hiking alongside me, he now has it easy and hitches a ride in my backpack as we tackle new trails together.
I’m an avid explorer and photographer based out of Greenville SC who avidly explores around the country capturing the beauty that surrounds us; though you can usually find me on a Cliffside or deep in the forest in our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North and South Carolina
My passion is to share these gems with others especially those who can’t get out to enjoy them for themselves!
I’m a North Carolina based graphic designer and photographer. I’ve been focusing on getting in touch with nature for the past few years, and I have really fallen for it! Photography allows me to connect my new-found love of nature to my other love… creative technology.
Spending time outdoors or travelling with my wife and friends has become a necessity that keeps me balanced. Every excursion is a new opportunity to learn more about the world and the people I care about most. See you out there!!

Hi! I’m Peter Mermilliod (yes, my last name is a bear to pronounce, but its like a black bear, not a grizzly or anything that unmanageable). I grew up in the farthest corners of East Tennessee, and learned from a young age to see and respect the wildness in all things. I’m avid hiker, distance runner, and rock climber, and I love going more miles on my feet in a week than most people put on their cars. I’m a naturalist, a transcendentalist, a mystic, and a mandolin player.
One of my biggest goals is to connect people to the wilderness around, between, and within their lives.
Winston Salem, NC
Although I was born in Florida, I jokingly refer to myself as being raised one summer at a time in the mountains of WNC. Now after moving to NC full-time in 2018, It’s been “slingshot engage” for adventures. As the co-founder of Southern Overland Company, based in Winston-Salem, I’m passionate about all things travel and outdoors.Whether it be rain, snow, sleet, or hail..if I’m outside, I’m stoked.
With so many gorgeous, natural wonders within a few hours drive there’s no shortage of good times and rad vibes. Since motorcycles, 4x4s, and photography are intertwined in most of my daily life i’m seldom sitting still. When I’m not at my ‘grown-up’ job you can find me bouncing around the state in an old Land Rover or topless Jeep Rubicon with my amazingly talented photographer girlfriend, Chelsea. See ya on the trails and stay rad!
I grew up in Southeastern Ohio in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains where the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers meet. I’m an off the beaten path kind of person. I always welcome a good challenge and pushing myself to new horizons. I am based in the Lake Norman area but I love taking trips to the mountains whenever I get a chance. I have aspirations of being a world traveler and jump at any opportunity to do so!
My name is Jeremy Lockett, I’m 21 years old. I grew up In the mountains of Western North Carolina. 6 months ago I started a new journey in Greenville SC but I’m still close to home. I love the outdoors and everything it has to offer. I’m a avid hiker, mountain biker, fly fisherman, camper, and gold panner. I love sharing story’s about my outdoor adventures thru photography. I enjoy long drives on the Blue ridge parkway seeing every angle of this beautiful earth we live in. I hope to see you on the trails!!
My name is Zachary Dolin, and I am a photographer and avid adventurer of all things nature. I was born and raise in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia, where I spent most of my time in the woods exploring wherever I could.
After moving around many states, experiencing new places, I landed in Asheville, NC in 2013. I immediately fell in love with mountains, and exploring everything they had to offer! I spent the next 4 years working as a wilderness guide in the Pisgah and Nantahala National Forests leading backpacking trips for young adults in recovery.
Today, spend whatever free time I have exploring, chasing waterfalls and sunsets, and traveling. All with my camera in hand, to share the beauty of nature with everyone that I can.
Hello! My name is Christina and I’m living it up in Asheville, NC! For the nine years that I’ve been here, I’ve spent my days off exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains with my partner Claude. We’re originally from Missouri and both grew up exploring the great outdoors. Our adventure dog Japhy has been by our side for the last six years. The three of us are always seeking out new and untraveled trails and enjoy sharing smiles from our miles. Happy trails and wagging tails!
Hi! My name is Logan Shropshier and I am based in the upstate of South Carolina. I am an avid hiker, climber and nature photographer. You can usually find me out exploring the Blue Ridge mountains or out west on my yearly road trip. Being outdoors is my strongest passion in life and keeps me sane in such a fast pace world. I love sharing my adventures of traveling in my 1976 Toyota chinook camper with my dog Jase, through the lens of my camera. I hope to connect with other nature lovers who share the same passion for the outdoors. See you in the mountains and Happy trails!
My name is Rebecca Luhm. I am a wife, mother of 3, and a runner. I run both on roads and on trails. I love to take advantage of the copious trails we have in Asheville and run with friends. I also love to cook, eat and read.
Annalee Durland Jones
Growing up in Charlottesville, Virginia I was practically born in the mountains. From splashing around in the river to shimmying up mountains nature has always been my home. As a professional photographer, I have learned to appreciate the beautiful world around me and love to go on adventures wherever life may take me. I am an avid hiker and camper and don’t be surprised when you find me and my camera on the trail no matter the weather. Happy adventuring!
Charlotte, North Carolina
My name is Joshua Herrera, Im a US Army Vet and landscape photographer based in Charlotte, NC. Ive always loved hiking and being outdoors, ever since I was little and my dad took me hiking for the first time I became hooked. After the army I fell out of love with everything but the mountains called me back and reminded me of who I was. The military taught me to not take life for granted and to enjoy it doing the things I love, with the people I love most. You can find me doing homework during the week and chasing sunrises in the mountains on the weekend. Rain or shine my wife and I are out enjoying the beauty of nature.
Mooresville, North Carolina
My happy place is nature. Hiking, kayaking and camping are my favorite activities and I explore the country with a toddler and 80 lb dog in tow. We do clean ups along the way because we love this earth and want to make it a better place for future generations.
