Imerys Trail at the Ijams Nature Center is a lovely short hike. Just over 1.2 miles in distance, this trail is a great, dog-friendly hike just outside Knoxville, Tennessee. This local favorite connects to the Ross Marble Quarry Loop trail. Soak in the moment of walking through “The Keyhole”–a manmade entrance underneath a rock bridge built in the 1920’s. This easy walk-way allowed workers to get to the other side of the Ijams Quarry more efficiently. The stepped walls within the Keyhole are known by the locals as “God’s Chair”.
